From Shed to Chic for Dress for Success
We’ve put on our hard hats and going from shed to chic for Boise Valley Dress for Success!
A “shed” for Dress for Success Boise Valley.
This is more than just a shed. This will become a timeless boutique full of opportunites. Furthermore, the recipients of Dress for Success come to pick out their new outfits, try on clothes, and feel like a million bucks. The goal, turning this rundown shed into a beautiful, shabby, chic space for their working women’s closet. Join us for the journey as we go from shed to chic!
The project started with this old, cold, ran-down shed.
We took it down to the studs, insulated, and sheet rocked.
Siding went up this weekend.
Next up, stay tuned as we work on getting power and paint to the building. From there it’s all interior finishes and the pretty stuff.
Why CBH got involved.
CBH Homes is over 60% women and we understand the need for women in the workplace. Most importantly, we know how vital it is for a woman to feel and look profesional. In the beginning, we were approached to help with this project and dove in head first. And by we, we mean, our Sales & Marketing Community Detail Manager, Andrew Hardy. Andrew took the reins and single handedly fundraised and asked our trade partners to donate and join in on the fun.
We thank the heavens to all of our trade partners who took the call and donated. Due to Performance Drywall, Powerhouse Electric, and Probuild, we were able to do this project! It takes a village and CBH Homes is blessed to have a fantastic one.
What is Dress for Success?
Dress for Success is a non-profit organization exclusively for women who have begun to change their lives by undergoing some form of job training or skills development to re-enter the workforce. The organization is designed for women from domestic violence shelters, employment and development centers, incarceration programs, welfare and unemployment recipients, and other women’s programs. They provide them with the crucial ‘finishing touches’ to help them feel comfortable and confident as they head out to interviews and jobs. Dress for Success provides clothing as a symbol of their faith in every woman’s ability to succeed. Dress for Success is a worldwide organization. The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
