CBH Homes is taking steps to save lives with Light the Night!

CBH Homes is raising money for Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk to create a world without cancer.

CBH Homes was hit HARD last January when a CBH family member was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. For her, we take a stand and are Laborers of Love!

Kaylee’s story:

Most females in their 20’s think about what classes they will be taking next semester, the guy at work that’s super cute, or what’s on the agenda with their friends for the weekend. But in January 2015 my thoughts shifted from what homework was due to what side effects I would be having from my chemotherapy. I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I had just moved to a different city and had started on a new journey, the next chapter in my life. But very quickly that chapter ended and I was shoved into an unfamiliar, painful, and scary place that I never thought I would be in. In addition to those normal things you hear about like hair loss and nausea. I endured over 15 different weeks of hospital stays and over 100 chemo shots in my legs. Without foundations like LLS who help fund research for new treatments, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I have received many alternative treatments and chemotherapies that made my life much easier during this difficult time. I have several months of treatment remaining, but look forward to getting back to my life goals.
