>Homebuyer Tax Credit Extended Closing Deadline

>While the Homebuyer Tax Credit has expired, Congress has recently passed an extension on the closing deadline for service members “who were on official extended duty outside of the United States for at least 90 days between Jan. 1, 2009 and May 1, 2010”, as stated by the Federal Housing Tax Credit. They were issued a one year extension.

Furthermore, on homes where a sales contract was signed by April 30, 2010, qualified buyers have until September 30, 2010 to close on their house, giving them additional time.
