Welcome that joyful time of year where there is no lull in things to do! Feeling overwhelmed? No worries, we’ve picked out the top events to check out for the holidays and New Years Eve in our area!

Winter Garden a Glow

Until Jan. 4th, visit the Idaho Botanical Garden to see their magical display of over 300,000 festive holiday lights! Visit their event page for more information on tickets and hours: idahobotanicalgarden.org.

The Nutcracker – Idaho Regional Ballet

This holiday classic is performed by Idaho’s pre-professional ballet dancers! Performances happen Dec. 12, 13, & 14. For more information visit their website: idahoregionalballet.com.

The Nutcracker – Ballet Idaho

This performance of The Nutcracker features the Boise Philharmonic orchestra at the Morrison Center on Dec. 19 and two performances each on the 20th and 21st. Purchase tickets here: balletidaho.org.

Christmas Light Helicopter Tours

Holiday on Ice

Enjoy a time travel ice show with music from the 1950’s to now! Showtimes are at 3pm to 6 pm on Dec. 13: idahoiceworld.com.

Santa Express

Ride the Santa express train with Mr. and Mrs. Claus to explore a magical Christmas forest and Santa’s village. Varying times and prices are available: thundermountainline.com.

Christmas at the Ranch

Ride a covered wagon to the Ol’ West Town of Coolwater where you can warm up at a campfire and enjoy the festively decorated buildings. Finish the Dec. 21 evening with a holiday meal! Call to book reservations: coolwatercreekevents.com.

Kuna’s Down Home Country Christmas
