Affordable homes for first-time buyers Wednesday, May 28, 2008
Give me an “A” for Affordable. It was gratifying to read in the Idaho Business Review recently that home buyers are finding homes that fit their budget and preference. Not surprisingly, first-time home buyers are looking for new homes priced at affordable levels. In the Treasure Valley market, the article said, it is possible for couples to find their dream home.
“We’ve really tried to design more efficiently, and of course we’re building houses that are more suitable to what the buyers can afford to pay for,” CBH President Corey Barton told the Business Review. “We’ve designed some smaller square-footage plans that are very appealing as well as some larger homes that are more efficient, more cost-effective to build.”
To keep the price down, we have introduced a new line of homes that start out with just the bare essentials at a baseline price. If a buyer wants more and can afford more, then he or she can add upgrades, from soaker tubs to three-car garages. The new Advantage Line homes, for example, come in models ranging from 900 to 3,500 square feet per unit.
We’ve also taken steps to streamline the efficiency of the construction process. “We’re paying especially close attention to time, efficiency and communication so we’re not doing things over and over again,” Corey told the Business Review. “We’re being very careful not to waste materials, and we’re looking for better materials that are less expensive.”
That’s the kind of swift action we’re taking at CBH Homes to make our homes more accessible to buyers. Check out our home search for a model and a price that fits your budget.

Square One Wednesday, February 6, 2008
Today is February 5th, 2008 and we are in the process of swapping out our signs that read Sales Centers to signs that read Square 1. The phrase Square One peaked my interest so I decided to look it up on dictionary.com.
square one
a starting point; initial stage or step: If this plan fails, we'll have to go back to square one.
[Origin, alluding to board games in which a player is penalized by being forced to return to the starting point]
square one
the situation in which you begin an endeavor and to which you return if your efforts fail; "the police are now back at square one after having arrested and released 27 men"; "she has tried to diet but always ends up back at square one"
square one
The starting point.
[Alluding to board games with numbered squares in which a penalized player may have to return to the starting point.]
Although square one may elude to a board game in which a penalized player may have to return to the starting point, I promise that at CBH Homes we wont penalize you! Since buying a home is the object of the game, I will do whatever it takes to give you the opportunity to beat the game on your first visit! I do not have any get out of jail free cards but I am sure that CBH Home loans could find you some get into a home quick cards! All kidding aside, the next time you or your friends and family go looking for new homes, remember that you should always start at square one!

An Over the Top Weekend Thursday, October 18, 2007
The dust has finally settled from DEAL OF A LIFETIME and who knew there were so many buyers out there!? We sold over 100 of our homes to some very excited people. To all who came out: Thank You! We had a flat-out good time.
All of our Sales Centers were crazy with activity as nearly 900 interested buyers paid us a visit. We also had radio stations, TV stations, kids with balloons and some curious by-standers. But no matter how many homes we sell, we never outgrow the joy and satisfaction that we feel when someone moves into one of our brand new homes.
CBH Homes wants to do everything we can to help people realize the dream of new home ownership. Stay tuned for upcoming news on free credit repair, new home debt counseling and how to get on the fast track to purchase a new home. We're excited about things to come!!

Can't we all just be friends? Tuesday, January 23, 2007
When buyers enter our Sales Centers, they always tell us that they are "just looking," or that they "can never stay long," or that they "just want a packet". Basically, they just want to be left alone.
Why can't the buyer just tell us, "I've been to your website and this is what I want," instead of making the sales agent beat the information out of them by asking 101 questions.
We all say the key to success in this world is communication, but for some reason communication between the buyer and the sales agent is the hardest thing. It's the most awkward, the most strained, and it doesn't need to be.
We are trying hard at CBH Homes to save you time, money and effort. We hope that with the evolution of our Sales Center and our sales team, our buyers can come in and feel comfortable and say, "This is what I want, show it to me, and let me make my decision."
Everything has been designed so that it will be easy when it comes time to buy a home, because we know how stressful it can make your life. But the only way that can happen is if we're both honest and upfront with each other from the very beginning of this process - when you very first walk in the Sales Center doors,
We don't want to waste your time any more than you want your time wasted. Let us help you quickly and intelligently.
So can't we all be truthful, and can't we all just be friends?
