Jobs are here… and you should be too!

We like to think everyone loves Boise but then again we may be biased. However, when Forbes published, Where The Jobs Will (and Won’t) be This Spring, we weren’t the least bit surprised that Boise is #1 on the list for where the jobs will be.

How could it not?

We’ll be the first to tell you that we’re hiring (apply here), but we’re not the only ones. According to the just-released Employment Outlook Survey, 32% of companies in the Boise area plan to hire new staff in the second quarter. HP and Micron Technology are on that list for hiring, as well as a diverse group of companies from steel manufacturers to SkyWest Airlines and on to call centers. Sunny Ackerman, Vice President for Manpower’s western division isn’t boasting when he says, “once you set foot in Boise, you can literally see the growth”. New construction and new businesses are popping up on every corner.  You know what that means – more jobs.

Not only is Boise hiring but you can actually afford to live here! The cost of living is 5% lower than the national average, based on the salary ranking site PayScale. We’d love to say that the reason Boise is so amazing is because of its beautiful scenery and easy access to all sorts of different outdoor activities, such as whitewater rafting, skiing, or camping. Or how about the amazing and growing downtown culture?! But those are just perks. The bottom line is, there are jobs for everyone here. Companies are hiring and anyone can afford to buy a home. No more roommates, no more renting, no more long job searches.
